Meet Stewart Hayes
Stewart was first registered as a podiatrist in December 1994. He has built a reputation of only using orthotics when necessary as he believes that not everyone needs them. This knowledge comes from working in centres with physios, orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians, etc along with owning an orthotic manufacturing business. When Stewart prescribes orthotics, he wants them to be comfortable and not hard, rigid devices. Stewart can actually make them from scratch, (but doesn't have the time) and can repair them when needed.
Stewart does not believe that people need new orthotics every year or two, but rather every five to six years.
Stewart has lectured in biomechanics, taught orthotic manufacture and clinically supervised at Western Sydney University school of Podiatry. He is currently a SIRA NSW independant medico-legal podiatry consultant.
Stewart's consultations are by appointment only and can be arranged outside of regular hours.
